This was already the 13th week of my internship, and honestly, after everything that happened, I’m starting to believe the number 13 really is unlucky. 😭

This week was a pretty calm one, but there were still some exciting moments! Monday wasn’t too busy, but there was still enough going on to keep the day interesting. Tuesday was a nice and quiet day, which was actually quite relaxing compared to some of the busier days I’ve had at the park.

A Calm Week with a Little Bit of Panic

This week was a pretty good one overall! Monday was a check-in day, but it wasn't too busy, which meant we had enough time to help guests without feeling rushed. During my shift, I also delivered a few missing items to one of the bungalows, making sure the guests had everything they needed for a comfortable stay.

This week was full of memorable moments. One of the most special things that happened was that a guest went into labor while staying at the park. To congratulate the family, we sent them a maternity gift, which was a lovely gesture from the team.

This week at my internship was another valuable learning experience. Throughout the week I continued to improve my confidence at the reception by answering guests' questions and helping them as best as I could. Every day I answered questions, I asked questions and that is how you grow. 

This week was a nice mix of quiet moments and busier days, with a few unexpected challenges along the way. Monday was surprisingly calm, which doesn't happen very often. It gave us the opportunity to catch up on a few tasks and enjoy a slower pace before the rest of the week picked up. Sometimes those quieter days are just what you need to reset and prepare for what's ahead.

This week was one of the busiest weeks of my internship so far. In total, I worked 40.5 hours, which made it a long but very educational week. Because it was such a busy period, I had the opportunity to gain a lot of experience and become more confident in my role at the front and back office.

This week was a bit shorter and less busy than usual, but I still learned a lot and had some very enjoyable experiences. One of the assignments I received was to prepare and give a tour. To get ready for this, I drove around the park by myself in a golf cart and took a closer look at the different bungalows. This helped me become more familiar with the park and gave me confidence for the tour.

4th week

This week was mainly focused on learning new tasks and getting more comfortable with the daily responsibilities of my internship. Compared to the first few weeks, I felt more confident and was able to take part in more activities around the workplace.

This week at my internship was actually really interesting and I learned a lot of new things. Monday and Tuesday were mostly about getting used to everything at the reception. I spent most of the time checking guests in, answering their questions, and helping them when they needed something. Sometimes guests asked easy questions, but other times I had to think a bit more before answering. It was a good way to get more comfortable speaking to people.
